Our
Videos Here are a few words about the making of our videos.
Consultation
And Equipment
We will meet with you before your wedding to not only
answer any questions you may have, but to ask some ourselves: How would you like
us to shoot the wedding? Where and when would we start our day? What lighting
options do you prefer? Do you like color or black and white? Do you want us to
interact with the guests? Though we have our style, we still custom tailor to
the needs and preferences of each client.
We use three small items to
shoot a wedding: a small video camera, a small microphone and a small light. The
lightweight equipment allows us to blend in with the guests and not call attention
to ourselves. Lighting We
use either a small on-camera light, or no added light at all working only with
"available light". Our digital equipment delivers excellent results
in low light. In extremely low light situations we use a slow shutter speed, which
allows more light into the camera and creates bright pictures. When we use a camera
light, we use it indirectly on the subject. This helps to minimize the effect
of camera lighting as well as our presence. Documentary
Style Video We try to let the pictures, the sound, and the editing tell
the story, without a voice-over narrator. We have found that a wedding is full
of interesting people and events and it is best to just record what is happening
without added commentary. The Length
Of Our Videos At your event we usually tape between two to three hours
of raw unedited footage. We suggest the edited version to run about 60-90 minutes.
At this length it is easier to watch repeatedly and show your family and friends. Please
call or E-mail us so that we can arrange
to show you one of our videos.
